More than a dozen Valley high schools qualified for a USA National event in at least one category, in Regional competition held in mid-November at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale. The list of qualifiers included Desert Mountain, Thunderbird, Agua Fria, Deer Valley, Chaparral, Mountain View, Notre Dame Prep, Cactus Shadows, Westview, Xavier College Prep, Millenium, Horizon, and Pinnacle. The all-day event showcased cheer, tumbling, stunt, dance, pom, and song. And SportZine was there to capture a big part of the day in pictures.
