Hey, high schools…Suns are passing out basketball stuff!

Hey, high school ‘ballers, you want to hear this.  Just got a call from the Phoenix Suns Gorilla, who wants PhxFan to spread the word to our loyal basketball audience across the state… there’s just a week left to claim some FREE basketball equipment for your school!

Did we mention that it’s FREE?

No kidding.  The varsity basketball programs at two Arizona high schools will get new equipment, thanks to a community outreach initiative called “Team Assist” that has been developed by the Phoenix Suns and their marketing partner, Qwest Communications.

And we’re not talking about a couple of basketballs and a coach’s whistle.  Qwest and the Suns are offering $5,000 worth of equipment, to be split evenly between the boys’ and girls’ programs at the schools!

But the deadline for entry is next Sunday, Nov. 21.

So you need to get on this NOW.  And ask your teammates, your parents, your teachers, and your coaches to do the same.  Everybody needs to get on this!

It’s really simple.  You and your legion of fans just need to log on to www.suns.com/assist to nominate your school for the 2nd annual “Team Assist” program and explain what equipment your program needs, and why you need it.   If your proposal gets picked, the stuff’s yours.

But, wait, that’s not all.

In addition to the $5,000 donation, the Suns are inviting the basketball programs at each school selected to a home game later in the season.

Yeah, the tickets are free, too!

So, what are you waiting for?!  Get to the website and then spread the word… or simply PASS ALONG THIS ARTICLE TO THE REST OF THE GANG AT YOUR SCHOOL.

And then get ready to enjoy that brand-new equipment.  (Maybe the Gorilla will show up to show you how to use it.)
